I installed this kit and a Meling Ford GT high psi oil pump, switched to 5W-30 about a year/30,000 miles ago and replaced all the spark plugs and coils and my 5.4 3V is purring like kitty. The kit I received looked exactly like the Ford parts I took off. Phaser springs weren't smaller than Fords or anything. IDK if people got a different kit than mine, but the parts I got work amazing. Half of the bad reviews are probably down to mechanic (read: installer) error, if I had to guess. You have installed the components correctly so that they work properly. Oh my VCT solenoid failed after installing the timing kit. Change quickly and the truck is ready to go. To update. 75k and drives smooth.
