Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Smart Bike Tail Light with Wireless Anti-Theft Alarm - USB Rechargeable, Waterproof LED, Remote Control and Bell for Mountain Accessories by Isaac Logan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent unit. But not perfect.

The alarm is quite loud and should be an effective deterrent to theft. And the tail light function works well too. But I agree with the reviewer who mentioned that NOT using a screw to secure the device to the mounting bracket is risky. After taking the device out of the cradle to charge it, I just put it back in the cradle, drove 10 miles and found the device was missing at the end of the ride. Apparently I didn't fasten it securely and it loosened and disappeared. Lesson learned. I immediately reordered because it works so well. And that brings me to the reason I only gave 4 stars. In both cases, I found that the included USB charging cable didn't work to charge the device. Connected normally, but there is no electrical contact. I then used a charging cable from another device and it worked fine. And the included cable worked fine on another device. The charging connector itself is a bit fiddly to use, as the rubber seal gets in the way of the charging cable connector and makes it difficult to plug in. So. Upgrading the charging port itself would be ideal in my opinion. By the way, the same manufacturer produces a similar product in the form of a fastening cable. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072JW6YV5/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 However, instead of a remote trigger it uses a four button keypad built into the lock to arm and disarm the alarm . . However, when you press the buttons to enter the deactivation code, a very loud alarm sounds. And until you finish entering the code, it keeps beeping. Since the user is in close proximity, this is very annoying and even a bit painful. And it's a bit awkward when the audience asks if you're trying to steal your own bike. I would pay good money for them to make the same product with a remote drive instead of a keyboard.

Pros
  • WIRELESS RING FUNCTION: Driving bell/COB light source, 120dB ringer is clear and bright, with bright COB light source for front and rear simultaneous alerting to protect you and others. In addition, every movement of the bike emits warning sounds. When the bike keeps moving, it will make a sharp beep to deter thieves.
Cons
  • Negative alarm present
