Review on πŸ’ͺ Powerful and Compact: Kenwood KAC-M3004 4 Channel Digital Amplifier by Kristine Schmidt

Revainrating 5 out of 5

There's a good chance I'll buy another one of these soon.

I don't know why Revain lists this as "Kenwood 22154656" instead of the actual model number KAC-M3004, but if you're wondering, this is it. I am very happy with this amp. I also have a KAC-M1804 and not sure if these are parallel models or if 3004 replaces 1804 or something, but if space isn't your *only* concern I strongly recommend the slightly larger M3004 - it is something like 1/2 inch more in each direction for more power, bridges, filters, variable crossovers, 2 ohm stability. That's a lot of extra features for a small increase in price and size. It works great in my 2002 Saab Viggen instead of a factory amp, and because it has HPF/LPF built in, I can drive the door woofers in LPF mode (as it was at the factory) and the rear full range speakers at the same time. time, with the same tiny amplifier. Huge audio improvement for a roughly 30 minute install. I guess keep in mind that I listen to MP3s in a convertible so I won't comment on its audiophile qualities, but it seems very good, especially for a Class D amp. I've had a hard time finding an amp , which did exactly what I needed (that is, would be small, powerful enough, and has a built-in LPF), so I was glad to find it. There's a good chance I'll buy another one of these soon.
