Not even close to a perfect fit

I have a 2017 CanAm x-3 and expect easy installation and a perfect fit. 3 holes had to be drilled for the driver's side. The passenger side was a little lighter, but the landing wasn't what I expected. Once installed it looks good enough and looks like it should keep dirt and grime from seeping in through the floor. Door. I would not buy again. Isn't anyone else doing anything appropriate?
