Just the right size for multiple infusions per person. The sieve is big enough to hold enough leaves. Since I like to brew gong fu style beer, I can measure the amount of leaves I want and brew over and over again, which is very convenient. I like to leave the tip between infusions to allow the leaves to breathe. So I needed a place to put it down and not just put it on the table. The solution was to replace the top bolt with a longer one and a nut inside so it could balance on the spout. This works great as you can see in the picture. Just a note to the manufacturer.
