This Kyocerca diamond head electric knife sharpener is awesome! I bought a very nice ceramic knife for my aunt in law as she didn't have any decent ones but she only had a regular knife sharpener and they can't be used on ceramic blades. If the diamond head ever wears out, you can buy a replacement just for it without having to buy a brand new one. It's lightweight and battery operated, and one of the safety benefits is that if you press too hard, it shuts off to protect the blade. It can handle blades of different widths, and the grooves ensure the blade is positioned correctly for best results, so even a beginner can use it. Although most of the instructions are written in Japanese(?), there is also an English language in each section so you can learn how to use it and how to take care of it properly.
