Difficult to use.: Kitchen and dining room

I have a set of Kyocera Revolution series paring and santoku knives, white blades. At first, for at least three years, I thought they wouldn't fit in a sharpener's neck because of the stupid protection. I keep it in the closet and collect dust. Today I found that starting the engine by pushing the blade in evenly and steadily, and then slowly and gently pulling it back works, it works. The latter requires practice in order not to block the engine. I hate how weak he is. Why AA batteries I don't

Good for my kitchen and dining room

I have had a set of Kyocera knives for about 5 years and they have lost their original sharpness. Kyocera sharpens your knives for free, but when you pay for shipping both ways it looked like the best option. I have 7", 5" and 3" knives and the only one I can't sharpen to full length is 3". On this one I managed to sharpen about 1/2 the length. The other two managed to sharpen along the entire length. It was easy and took very little time, and it really made a difference. I think the purchase…

Great sharpener, still has flaws

I have several sets of ceramic knives and a set of steel knives so this seemed like the perfect middle ground for the two materials. I actually like it, but maybe the way I press the left side doesn't always make the sharpening the way I want it. That's my only criticism, which is why I took off a star. But if it's my thing or if the way my sharpener was assembled was a bit wrong I'm not sure. And for more info, I can usually sharpen 4-6 knives on full batteries (this is also after going…

Amazing cutlery and knife sharpener

This Kyocerca diamond head electric knife sharpener is awesome! I bought a very nice ceramic knife for my aunt in law as she didn't have any decent ones but she only had a regular knife sharpener and they can't be used on ceramic blades. I wanted great quality that would last for years and this fitted the bill perfectly. It can sharpen ceramic, stainless steel and titanium blades even if they are chipped. If the diamond head ever wears out, you can buy a replacement just for it without having…

Everything OK but not shiny

First thing I had to do was disassemble the unit to loosen the grinding wheels which are stuck on the drive shaft and not floating properly. rather large shavings from a chef's knife, and he managed to get the blade back without too much trouble. The downside is that the motor is nowhere near powerful enough. This encourages the slow, methodical approach required when using a diamond sharpener, but means holding the knife so that the blade rests feather-light on the blade. A tip - put a few…

Not for all knives!

I thought I had finally found an electric sharpener that would sharpen my ceramic knives. The only problem is that the sharpener sharpens not only my ceramic knives, but also knives with metal blades. Because. The knife blade must be at least 1/2 inch below the handle! Unfortunately the seller doesn't mention this in the product description but says it's "the perfect solution for sharpening and updating your ceramic kitchen knives at home". He then says it's a perfect match for Kyocera ceramic…

Very well designed and made BUT NOT for small knives.

This sharpener is ergonomically and technically very well designed and manufactured. All parts appear well made and the grinding wheels can even be completely replaced. There is a switch that allows you to change the working position from right to left. There is no English on the packaging other than the product name. Inside, however, there is a clear guide that includes instructions in English. The device arrived well packaged and started without any problems. I bought this to sharpen a set of
