Difficult to use.: Kitchen and dining room

I have a set of Kyocera Revolution series paring and santoku knives, white blades. At first, for at least three years, I thought they wouldn't fit in a sharpener's neck because of the stupid protection. I keep it in the closet and collect dust. Today I found that starting the engine by pushing the blade in evenly and steadily, and then slowly and gently pulling it back works, it works. The latter requires practice in order not to block the engine. I hate how weak he is. Why AA batteries I don't know. Maybe they wanted a standard that bypasses 120/220v.
