Review on 🔪 Enhance Your Kitchen Knives with Kyocera Advanced Diamond Hone Sharpener by Jasmine Hart

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very well designed and made BUT NOT for small knives.

This sharpener is ergonomically and technically very well designed and manufactured. All parts appear well made and the grinding wheels can even be completely replaced. There is a switch that allows you to change the working position from right to left. There is no English on the packaging other than the product name. Inside, however, there is a clear guide that includes instructions in English. The device arrived well packaged and started without any problems. I bought this to sharpen a set of four Kitchenaid ceramic knives that were sold at one of the big discount stores. the correct sharpening angle for a sharp edge - a small gap is required between the bottom edge of the blade and the handle. Any knife with a blade size less than 3/4 inch directly UNDER the handle will NOT fit in the slot on the last few inches of the knife. This makes sharpening small knives like paring knives impossible. You cannot operate the grinder without the protective cover. without bypassing the electrical/mechanical interlock. And even if you did, you would have to use the knife "freehand”. However, when sharpening large knives, I found that after five passes, the knives were almost as sharp as they were when they were new two months ago.
