I thought I had finally found an electric sharpener that would sharpen my ceramic knives. The only problem is that the sharpener sharpens not only my ceramic knives, but also knives with metal blades. Because. The knife blade must be at least 1/2 inch below the handle! Unfortunately the seller doesn't mention this in the product description but says it's "the perfect solution for sharpening and updating your ceramic kitchen knives at home". He then says it's a perfect match for Kyocera ceramic knives and if you look at these knives you'll see that the blades are at least 1/2 inch below the handle. After opening the box, inserting the batteries, and reading the instructions, I found a small section that says it cannot be used on knives with thick blades or thick handles. The description is misleading and I recommend you take a look at your knives to make sure your blades are at least 1/2 inch below the handle otherwise you will not be able to sharpen any of your knives. So now I'm sending the sharpener back and looking for someone who really sharpens my knives!
