This is causing USB C (dp) connection issues with my Dell Inspiron 13-7378. I have three 27" Samsung monitors. One connects to the HDMI port on the Dell. The other two connect to this splitter via HDMI. The computer works with 4 monitors, however I had to set each external monitor to 59Hz before the two connected to this unit worked. The 59hz solution I found by accident and not on the advice of Startech. Before that the monitors were connected to these units, worked for about an hour and then started turning off (off- and turn it back on)., I'm not sure what's wrong, but it's very annoying. This didn't happen when I removed the Startech splitter and was just using a built-in HDMI monitor and a laptop display. Technical support from startech replaced the unit at their expense as the original didn't work but that was before i set the monitors to 59hz since the replacement and de When the monitors are set to 59 Hz, the monitors do not flicker, however Intel Graphics HD reconfigures the DP topology.
