I decided to try this item as a replacement for a dish rack for items I didn't want to put in the dishwasher. Well, it works really well for that - I can even put stuff between the slats to allow water to drain front and back. But the most interesting thing for me is that I use it for multiple purposes. For example, I've almost given up on most of my cutting boards—instead, I lay everything from ribs to flowers to cheese over one piece and just cut round metal slats. When I'm done, I wash it, set it out to dry quickly, then fold it up and put it in a drawer. I also use it as a stand for hot pans, especially when I want to stir something or add water while stirring as it stands over the sink. This item is very strong and will hold onto the front and back edges of my sinks. love love love!
