Loud enough to be heard from the other side of the house but doesn't work well and has stopped working. I thought it was dead on arrival and took it apart to see if I could find anything wrong, but one day I fiddled with it, it kept pressing the button and it would turn on, but it was hard to figure it out set it up to do what I wanted. Light and sound at the same time, and it has a built-in battery, and we all know how stupid it is to be a smartphone with built-in batteries. I bought it to scare away possums, raccoons and armadillos which cost me thousands of dollars. On the downside I can't even feed my cat at night because of them and it's loud enough for them to notice but they can walk past and not be spotted. I recommend the Ideaworks Owl Detector Alarm. It's not very loud, but it works much better.
