Review on ๐Ÿถ BlenderBottle Classic V2 Shaker Bottle: Protein Shake & Pre-Workout Mixer, 20oz, Clear/Black by Brad Blake

A near perfect shaker.

I use a shaker almost every day and BlenderBottle shakers are some of the best I've tried. The spiral metal whiskey ball mixes the drink perfectly, the bottle feels strong and secure when shaken, it's comfortable to hold and the spout is a convenient size for drinking. Overall this is a pretty good shaker with a few minor flaws. Pros: * Good size - not too big and not too small. There's nothing worse than a shaker that's too big and leaves too much room. Likewise, bottles that are too small do not feel safe when shaken. The BlenderBottle falls into this bottle-sized Goldilocks magic zone. (At least for my use.) * Sealed lid. Both the lid and the spout cover ensure a secure seal. I don't have to worry about my drink spilling out when I shake the bottle. The spout snaps securely into place and doesn't dangle like some other brands. Leak-proof seals are very important to me - I've had to wipe up spills more than once when seals on other bottles weren't weak.* Strong, durable construction. The plastic is nice and thick and gives a good feeling of quality. These bottles are built to last.* Rounded bottom. V2 bottles have a rounded bottom on the inside. This means your powders won't get stuck in the corners because there are no corners. This will add more powder when combined with a shaker scoop.* Drainage hole on the outside of the base. Thanks to the rounded bottom on the outside, the bottle has an extra edge so you can put the bottle on the bench without tipping over. This extruder has a drain hole to avoid leaving puddles of water in the base after washing. This is a great feature IMHO. Cons: * The drain hole in the room can be used by multiple friends. If you tilt the bottle (e.g. when loading a dishwasher), the drain hole won't be as effective unless it's at the lowest point. Adding a few more drainage holes could make drainage more successful in these situations. Bottle B1. It's still a great print, but "CLICK!" V1 seems to inspire more confidence. *Measurements on the side of the bottle are not that effective for me. I usually mix 8 ounce drinks. The scale on the side of the bottle jumps from 6oz to 10oz which means I have to look closely where 8oz should be. The V1 bottle is graduated 2 ounces and the V2 bottle is graduated 4 ounces. Also, the V1 bottles have lines marked every 2 oz to help you find the right level, while the V2 bottles only have numbers with no marked lines so even when measuring 10 oz you have to guess, where the line should be. I'm not sure why they did this as it makes measurements more complicated than they need to be. The only significant drawback is the lack of useful measurement indicators. It's also a near-perfect shaker. Easily outperforms every other bottle I've tried over the years. I already have two and am considering buying a few more because I use these two so often. You won't be disappointed if you buy one of these!

Pros
  • Cocktail shaker
Cons
  • Crumpled wrapper
