I've had it for a year and a half now and it still feels pretty hard. If I stay on one side for too long (several months) a small dent will form over time, but it will come back when I switch to the other side. I sleep on the floor and this mattress is perfect for the floor. The support remained firm but comfortable. Very comfortable and stays cool. The package was large and heavy. So help lift it or be strong enough to push it up quickly. I pulled it out and saw that it was wrapped twice, one for the shrink wrap and the other to hold the roll in place. Be sure to place it in a hard-to-reach place so it can rest continuously for 24 hours. I made the mistake of putting it up in the hallway and then had to awkwardly push it to our guest bed to keep it out of the way while drying. Upon cutting the 2nd bag (shrink film layer) it immediately began to expand and opened up to almost 8 inches. In an hour it was almost 9 in thickness and is still expanding. Then after 24 hours it dried up and hardened. I was able to move it myself by sliding it like most mattresses are flipped vertically. It had a slight chemical odor that quickly dissipated and became invisible after a few days. I am very satisfied with this mattress. I don't wake up stiff or painful. My daughter slept next to me and moved a lot throughout the night. I didn't feel her move at all, so that's a bonus.
