The set is very advantageous in my opinion. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because the numbers are wrong. If you call something an ADVENT CALENDAR, it must have ordered the days like a CALENDAR! This year we bought it for our 5.5 year old son to count down the days until Christmas. He's a very smart kid, but sometimes he has a hard time judging time, especially on a scale. We were all excited, but with the numbers just randomly scattered across the board it's hard to tell where you are and how many days are left until Christmas. In any case, he liked it and he liked getting a new little detail every day that eventually formed into a whole scene.
