The family looks forward to this every year.

We buy this unit as a Christmas gift for family every year. The kids love it and I love that the characters can be played all year round.

Pros
  • One-year trial version
Cons
  • High price

Stacking is our LEGO tradition

This is our family tradition. Up to the fact that every son opens the box and collects Lego every day. My sons are 20, 16, 14, 13 and 9 years old. We've been doing this for at least 10 years and a 20 year old boy comes over once a week to build it. Always great quality and always fun.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

new tradition. in Building Toys

This is a 5 year tradition in our family. We buy new ones every year. My 8 year old son likes it and so does my 17 year old son although he wouldn't admit it. It's now one of our favorite Christmas traditions and we're already looking forward to September when the new advent calendar is available.

We liked it so much I bought it again this year!

This is a great advent calendar for the little ones! I bought it last year and my kids loved it. They waited patiently beside him until everyone was up and then they could open the day and build the character. The LEGO pieces are small but easy to put together and kids always thought they were so cute! They liked it so much I bought it again this year!

Mostly garbage. in stackable blocks

Everything was fine. Most of the time it was just bazaar junk that didn't make any sense. Aside from a few obvious details, no one could figure out what to cling to. Even as we looked at the picture on the box, we shook our heads and wondered what all those tiny pieces fitted together, and what fitted was nothing recognizable. Last year we had a Trolls calendar that was only 12 days, but at least the parts made sense. I think it has some unnecessary extras that make it difficult because you…

Fun things to add to our collection

My 6 year old son and I had fun doing this together for Christmas. It came with a picture card so I could figure out how to put the pieces together, but it was difficult for him to figure out a few larger items (like a fireplace) as there are no step-by-step instructions. We didn't know what a few items were, which was a little disappointing; but we have a lot of fun new parts for our lego house. My only complaint is that it arrived later than expected so I didn't receive it by December 1st (it

So close to being awesome!

The set is very advantageous in my opinion. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because the numbers are wrong. If you call something an ADVENT CALENDAR, it must have ordered the days like a CALENDAR! This year we bought it for our 5.5 year old son to count down the days until Christmas. He's a very smart kid, but sometimes he has a hard time judging time, especially on a scale. We were all excited, but with the numbers just randomly scattered across the board it's hard to tell where you…

Really really neat

This is a very fun and interactive advent calendar set. Like most of these Advent sets, it consists of 24 compartments, one of which must be opened every day from December 1st until Christmas Eve. Each bay has a buildable object with an average of about 10 Lego pieces per object. There are a variety of building projects including people (and Santa of course!), vehicles, furniture, food, etc. My favorites are the fire pit with cool embers and the crazy curling athlete with curling stones and a…
