This is a very fun and interactive advent calendar set. Like most of these Advent sets, it consists of 24 compartments, one of which must be opened every day from December 1st until Christmas Eve. Each bay has a buildable object with an average of about 10 Lego pieces per object. There are a variety of building projects including people (and Santa of course!), vehicles, furniture, food, etc. My favorites are the fire pit with cool embers and the crazy curling athlete with curling stones and a broom. The box has a smart flap that serves as a base for displaying items. We've traditionally used chocolate advent calendars, and this one is a lot more fun and creative (and lower in calories). The only thing missing (at least for our Christian family) is some sort of religious element pointing to the birth of Jesus. I have already decided to enhance our experience by having my kids build some Christmas pieces to add to the display with the other Lego pieces we have. Anyway, we can't wait to enjoy this Lego Advents Christmas Calendar!
