After I found out I was going to the garage to install Mevotech ball joints on one side of my 2000 Cherokee so it would pass state inspection I thought to myself Would like to install the same on the other side. I bought identical Mevotechs, Spicer (original equipment) and Moogs and compared 3 brands. both top and bottom are lubricated. Obviously mevotechs were much worse. The attached picture shows a slotted nut on a ball joint thread. The mating flange on the nut was not square to the ball joint stud. I wouldn't even think of using them. I removed other Mevotech and installed all Moog. They fit well and seem to work well. Stay away from these. Remember that your life may depend on these details. The inscription "Made in China" speaks for itself.
