First impressions were how heavy and solid it is. Appears to be well built. The caveat is that it's a bit heavy with long-term use. The battery lasts almost a day with moderate use. The tablet is quite fast, it charges quickly. I don't use it for heavy games so I can't comment on how it performs for this role. I'm thankful that a factory install of Android isn't encumbered with trial versions, ads, and other crap that no one ever needs or wants that can be a hassle to uninstall. The cameras seem adequate, although I very rarely use a tablet to take photos, and the micro SD card slot is welcome. The audio is quite loud and not terrible considering the small size of the speakers. It does not replace your boombox or home stereo. It's nice to have a real headphone jack, and it sits in a convenient spot on the tablet, on top where it doesn't get in the way, regardless of screen orientation. The included charger is adequate for the task, but it does get a little warm and feels a little cheap. The touchscreen isn't as responsive as my old tablet, but I'm picky. The display is bright and sharp, although probably not as appealing as Apple's or Samsung's offerings. It appears that a keyboard or dock can be attached to the tablet when used in landscape mode, although I don't know if these accessories are available. Quite cheap. He doesn't have a strap on his hand, and he only has a basic ability to stand. The case isn't really worth the price, but it's the only game in town for this tablet. Overall I am very happy with the tablet and surprised by its quality at this price point.
