This is a great Boom Mic with silly flexibility. I don't know if in my hundred or so hours of searching for mics to use for my studio and personal, I've come across such a strange mic. This is what I'd call a SHORT RANGE Boom mic. Meaning, if your subject is about 10ft away from you, or less it will sound great. Any further than that and you might be doing a lot of clean up in post processing.Pros:-Flexibility; Essentially you're getting two very good quality boom mics for the price of one. With so many positions this can be placed in, it can really meet all tasks that's thrown at it. Essentially, you're getting near Shure Sm7B levels out of this thing but with a wider pick up. MEANING if you wanted to podcast on the go, but lightly. I'd go with this, and your favorite DSLR. The Tight V is great for two people sitting right next to each other. The wide V could easily accommodate 4 people sitting next to each other. Then there's fun other positions too. Really hard to find a use case that this would fail at that fits within a 10ft diameter.-USB C Charging, YAY. Some more overpriced and used to be great companies refuse to make the leap to USB C, so can't sadly take that for granted. RIGHT ZOOM?-STEREO OUT. This goes back to the flexibility. While technically ONLY usable in post, it's a nice feature. SINCE you can't sadly individually adjust boom arm gain levels. While not a lot of overhead to work with, there is some. So if you have this in any position other than together, you can fix a quieter left or a quieter right which is nice.-Great bright screen with no signs of light bleed on it. I don't know if this is OLED or IPS but whatever it is, it's quality, again, something other companies with a more established reputation and higher price tag could learn, RODE.-Two different pickup patterns, I'm sure that means something to someone, not me. BUT it does have it and it is there. SO. THERE IS THAT. One is a flat line, the other is angled then flat. I'm not a sound engineer, and only have a very basic knowledge or understanding to what that means. I know one is for vocals and the other is for everything else. But not sure which is which.-Everything is in the case; holy cow, you need a connector, they have it.-Very cool and unique shock absorbers, they're rubber tubings. I've seen springs or hydraulics-like systems but not just simple rubber tubings. It's kind of ingenious. THOUGH, that could be a double edged sword. MEANING, I don't know how they'll hold up over time if latex. Also, Latex allergies. Maybe they're silicone but the cross-section that is clearly visible looks like the latex rubber hose I've seen. Issue is, they might run the risk of drying out or degrading in extreme climates. THOUGH they're super quiet.Cons:-Not many, but build quality is a little meh, Not terrible, but not great either. MOSTLY plastic and for arms you're manipulating quite a lot that feel plastic and are mostly hollow, doesn't feel SUPER reassuring for the long run. Maybe they're Poly Carbonate or ABS grade. I don't know. The main body feels robust enough.-The Case; YES the case is nice, and yes it's super cool that it comes with a very nice hardshell-ish cloth case. THERE IS NOTHING CHEAP FEELING ABOUT THE CASE. The issue is, it's bulky. I have two of these, and I just use one case, put the muffs on for protection in transit and then all the accessories for both of them. MORE THAN ENOUGH ROOM and I feel more than enough security is there to not worry about damaging them. BUT MAN IS THAT A HUGE CASE. SUPER WELL PADDED AS WELL.Conclusion:Buy it, it's a great short range boom mic with silly levels of flexibility and great sound.
