In theory this was exactly what I needed. But too many flaws - so in the trash. The LCD is dark gray on a light gray background with a faint blue backlight. You need sunlight or another bright light source to see what's displayed. The call blocking feature does not save the number when the caller ID shows a blank name (this is normal for carrier-supplied phone lines. When a call comes in on line 1, the line 1 and line 2 indicators flash. Outgoing calls worked fine, I cannot in good conscience recommend this model, although my lemon may not be typical.
