Our hatchback's stanchions were outdated and refused to support the weight to be able to load the rear without risk of getting hit in the head! I ordered them for replacement and was pleasantly surprised by the very reasonable price. However, it turned out that the installation wasn't as easy as we thought. Although two of us tried to install (one holding the tailgate and the other trying to screw in the new struts), we couldn't. We took it to our bodybuilders and they had the right tools to install it for us. Despite the additional installation costs, we are pleased that we now have very strong new racks.
