Good microscope for the money. I have used it to make clocks and it works very well. The controls are very fluid and the picture is very wide. I didn't use the camera function, so I can't comment on that. One bad thing is that the picture could be a little clearer, but it could be me, I wear glasses and need new ones. You have to be careful when you pull the microscope out all the way, the rod stand might be a bit heavier, but I ended up carrying it anyway. The outrigger post bolt doesn't have a socket so I installed a nylon one that I read about in another review. I give it five stars knowing it's a low end microscope but I'm impressed with what you get for the money. I think it works very well for a shop or student microscope. I know very little about these things, I'm just learning about microscopes so take that with a grain of salt, but I'm very happy with it.
