Should not be considered "reversible." After being shipped in a tight roll, it will only ever lie flat on one side, so you just have to hope that's the side you wanted. After 2 weeks of trying to weight it down and tie it for a while into a reverse roll, one end of the mat still sticks up a few inches off the ground, creating a significant tripping hazard. I got the wood grain pattern, and the "whitewashed" side that will lie flat looks terrible on my bamboo floor, but I don't want to send it to a landfill, so I guess I'm stuck with looking terrible. At least it is comfortable, so stars for that.
