We are in the process of installing the porch and I quickly noticed that small twigs, leaves, etc. were getting caught between the slats. A regular broom doesn't seem to work very well. I still liked its simple and homemade look, but it turned out to be the best broom we've ever had on our new front porch. Much better than any bulk broom you can buy in a big store. And he looks a lot nicer, I think. When I first took it out of the plastic case, there was a slight smell, probably from the paint. I would like an unpainted version. It would be nice to have only natural color. However, I am very happy with them. It seems very well made and it's so nice to have something more unique but still work great.
