High recommendation: Sunbeam Classic 1200W Iron

Sunbeam Classic 1200W Mid-Size Iron with Non-Drip Non-Stick Soleplate, Steam Boost/Vertical Jet and 8 ft. 360 Degree Rotating Cord, White/ Sure, GCSBCL- 317-000 The 1200W Sunbeam Classic Medium Drip Iron is a good buy for under $30 and works satisfactorily. Before I decided to look for a Sunbeam iron, I bought two Black and Decker irons -- one for $40, which sometimes took a while to heat up and generate steam, but still did NOT completely iron out wrinkles . So I decided to buy a $15 Black and Decker iron, which unfortunately dripped more than I could handle. Luckily, during my travels, I reminded myself that almost every hotel and resort has inexpensive Sunbeams irons that have always worked flawlessly. So I did some research and luckily I found what I was looking for on Revain.com. Also, I don't think it's worth spending more than $30 for a good iron! However, what I hope has improved or what I don't like about the iron is the design and location of the on/off button as it's just a cheap lever. They move up and down and it's awkwardly positioned under the handle. If a lever is difficult to move up/down or about to break, it is difficult to manipulate any part of that lever to turn it on or off. It would be better and more accessible if the expensive and convenient on/off switch was placed on the front, top or even back of the iron.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Nothing
