Works great, dishwasher safe and doesn't take up much space!

Many years ago I worked as an assistant director in a movie theater and liked to make popcorn just before the guests came to the screenings. Now, every year around Christmas time, I start to see a bunch of teapots as gift ideas and I'm tempted to buy one for myself. Then reality sets in and I remember how painful it was for me to clean these things and I really have no place to store them. The same goes for the air popper. I already have a few small kitchen appliances that I rarely use that take up all the closet space. This year, when a relative mentioned that she used her Air Popper all the time, but it had recently died, I started looking for a replacement. When I saw these foldable microwave poppers I thought it was a great idea and decided to give it a try. In the cinema, we used peanut butter, flavacol seasoning, and premium popcorn kernels. So I ordered all of these items and put about 2 teaspoons of peanut butter in the bottom of the bowl, poured in about 1/3 cup of seeds and about 1/2 teaspoon of flavacol. Cover with a lid and place in the microwave for 3 minutes. I was a little apprehensive about using oil because I didn't want to burn the bottom of the bowl, but it turned out great. I stayed in the kitchen and as soon as the pops subsided to a few seconds between pops, I turned off the microwave. The bowl is advertised as a popper and a serving bowl, but if you plan to use it for serving you'll have to wait a bit before trying to hold it as the bottom of the bowl stays hot. I ended up using a towel to hold up while we watched TV instead of pulling out another bowl to empty. I just put it on the top shelf of the dishwasher! (Much easier than trying to clean one of those teapots)
