Works great and makes great popcorn!

This product works perfectly as described. For the folks who haven't gotten it to work, they're clearly not following the instructions. If you fill it to the appropriate line - mine was ¼ cup, set the microwave to about 2-2.5 minutes, stick with the popper until it slows down and don't put anything in the popper other than popcorn , it will work 100% of the time. For people who haven't worked for them, they certainly don't follow any of these steps. After that, I add some extra virgin olive oil

Even though it was my first time using it, I loved it.

At first I liked its ability to fold for storage as it popped all the cores and allowed for individual servings. However, after cooking, I sprinkled the popcorn in the bowl with salt and butter. Then I made the mistake of not cleaning the popper properly before adding the kernels to make another batch. My microwave's reaction was really frightening; This created a loud noise and a real fire, and I rushed to turn off the microwave, thinking I'd ruined my microwave. However, the microwave…

Salbree is worth the investment if you love popcorn!

This is an essential accessory for anyone who loves popcorn. The investment is small and the benefits of making great popcorn are unmatched. My recipe for the perfect popcorn is 2 tablespoons of grapeseed oil, a dollop of unsalted butter, and 1/2 cup of Pop Secret popcorn. When it's ready, a little popcorn salt makes it the tastiest popcorn ever! I set the microwave for 4:30 and have a nice bowl of popcorn with just a few unpopped kernels. Note that I have an old Kitchen Aide microwave that…

Converter Airpopper!

As a popcorn lover and having switched from a pot on the stovetop to an air popper and now to this bowl, I can say that I like this bowl more than any other type. However, there are also some disadvantages. I'll list the good and the bad below. Advantages: - Less oil consumption as the oil melts and covers itself when it bursts. With an air popper, some will have some oil, but pouring the oil in will give you some raw popcorn and some dry popcorn. You also end up using a lot more Air Popper Oil

Pros
  • a handy item
Cons
  • no mold required

Works great, dishwasher safe and doesn't take up much space!

Many years ago I worked as an assistant director in a movie theater and liked to make popcorn just before the guests came to the screenings. Now, every year around Christmas time, I start to see a bunch of teapots as gift ideas and I'm tempted to buy one for myself. Then reality sets in and I remember how painful it was for me to clean these things and I really have no place to store them. The same goes for the air popper. I already have a few small kitchen appliances that I rarely use that…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Makes me angry

The reason why the air popper is obsolete

This thing is amazing. If you love popcorn but don't want butter, then this is for you. No kidding - it's worth the money. Wait a minute, can't you just heat up popcorn in the microwave? Yes, yes you can. You do have to put the popcorn in something, though, or else those tiny exploding grains will absolutely DESTROY your microwave. That leaves us with a small problem: what do you microwave popcorn in? The plastic containers will melt. Seriously everything. I put Rubbermaid's best microwavable…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive
