Salbree is worth the investment if you love popcorn!

This is an essential accessory for anyone who loves popcorn. The investment is small and the benefits of making great popcorn are unmatched. My recipe for the perfect popcorn is 2 tablespoons of grapeseed oil, a dollop of unsalted butter, and 1/2 cup of Pop Secret popcorn. When it's ready, a little popcorn salt makes it the tastiest popcorn ever! I set the microwave for 4:30 and have a nice bowl of popcorn with just a few unpopped kernels. Note that I have an old Kitchen Aide microwave that probably has 10-15% less power than a new one, so through experimentation I found that 4:30 worked for me. You must test your own microwave for the perfect time. Never use the popcorn setting on your device. My biggest motivation has been to avoid hydrolyzed vegetable oil, which is used in almost all microwave popcorn, including Pop Secret and Orville Redenbacher. This oil is the most harmful to health. When using Salbree, you are in control of which oil you use and how much. I've experimented and found that you can use salbree without oil if using fresh popcorn, although it's too dry for my liking. I experimented with olive oil (leaves a slightly oily aftertaste) and peanut butter (nice texture in the mouth), but ended up with grapeseed oil. It has no taste and high heating temperature to avoid scorching. Salbree is worth the investment if you love popcorn!
