At first I liked its ability to fold for storage as it popped all the cores and allowed for individual servings. However, after cooking, I sprinkled the popcorn in the bowl with salt and butter. Then I made the mistake of not cleaning the popper properly before adding the kernels to make another batch. My microwave's reaction was really frightening; This created a loud noise and a real fire, and I rushed to turn off the microwave, thinking I'd ruined my microwave. However, the microwave continued to work well with other products, so I decided to rinse the popper again and try again. Although the popper was carefully cleaned, the fireworks started again. I will never use this popcorn bowl again and have warned my family not to use it. It's been a safety hazard when used to cook corn since I first misunderstood it.
