Review on Sewing machine Janome SE 522/Sewist 525 S, white/grey by Aneta Szczepaska ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything in the product suited me, the price is generally perfect.

I really liked the machine, and caused a lot of positive emotions!) Its most important advantage is that it is not a "seamstress" (!), And, for example, it can quite easily sew with a very thick thread on top and thin on the bottom (which can be useful when sewing decorative stitches). Also, easily takes almost any fabric. Chintz of layers in 4-5 easily takes)) Jeans in several layers, batting in 5 layers easily stitches. Thick fabrics, have not tried it yet, but I think it will do just fine). I only had difficulties with fleece (oddly enough, because everyone writes that it is sewn very easily and without problems) - the machine just stopped and that's it . maybe you need to play with the settings and try again). In principle, everything in the machine is intuitive and simply arranged, but before using it, you must definitely read the instructions, so that later there would be no "bad machine, the 4th needle is breaking," etc. :) there are subtleties and nuances, and especially if this is your first machine. In general, if, like me, you think - "take it or not take it", definitely "take it", you won't regret it :)

Pros
  • The presence of a "fast-slow" switch on the pedal (this is not written in the description, and I was very pleased with the presence of such an option :) ) Horizontal shuttle (generally there are no problems and inconveniences with threading, very convenient compared to the vertical one) Not capricious to threads (!) Sews almost any fabric Many presser feet included (for example, presser foot B, for buttonholes, can be used for sewing on buttons (see instructions :)) ) Use of a double needle (up to 4 mm) is possible Decorative stitches Needle threader Presser foot pressure adjustment
Cons
  • To be honest, from the needle threader, guided by the reviews, I expected much more :) In fact, it cannot thread any thread, and sometimes it frays the thread . But, perhaps, if you get used to it, it can be convenient.
