Very nice comb. Not as smooth as we'd like, but not "rough" either. The wood has a beautiful mottled/striped pattern and a lovely handcrafted appearance. It's a really small comb, little more than a sticky note, but the contoured handle fits snugly in the palm of your hand and is easy to grip. I have small hands so the size is just right for me. If you like massagers like Gua Sha, you *probably* love this. Didn't like it as much as my gua sha stone tools or other sandalwood massage combs but good nonetheless. I like to use it at the base of my skull where my muscles are very tight/source of tension headaches. Of course you can also use it to detangle your hair, but I have the best comb for that. The product information mentions that natural wood forms fluffy fibers that can be wiped clean with a cotton cloth. My other sandalwood comb started doing this all of a sudden and it was really awful like thick dust constantly covering it. I ended up rubbing some oil into the wood and that fixed the problem. It's been 3 months with no horrible fibers coming back. Comes in a beautiful presentation box with drawer and velvet lining.
