I think I can understand the reason for the mixed reviews for this saddle. After quickly tightening the vise to line up the rails with the seat mount, I set it up about level with the bike and off we went. It obviously needed some adjustment as I pulled on the handlebars and felt like I was slipping. I started wrinkling my nose up and tried four tier positions. I left the day less than impressed, it wasn't very comfortable and the springs didn't seem to do much. On my daily 10 miles today, I stopped and flicked my nose one more notch. Everything seemed to fall into place. That one notch made all the difference. The bumps on the saddle met in the right places and I could feel the springs working. As I continued, the seat just disappeared and I felt more secure. There was also an odd feeling that I was sitting higher and further back. The rest of the 10 miles was comfortable, and I will confess to riding through some bumps that I normally avoid to test the suspension. It's not as smooth as glass, but it's a big improvement. I can try another label tomorrow, but it's already a keeper. He almost came back. It says it's for vertical driving. The springs work better when you sit further and straighter.
