Media could not be loaded. I previously had a Black and Decker drill press. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, I've had more free time to learn another skill. I had trouble choosing the weather for Ryobi or DeWalt and also seeing which set would suit me. To be honest, two things convinced me to choose Black and Deck. . YouTube videos of a father saying his 8 and 10 year old son and daughter are using it for their projects and a mother doing a fantastic job building a patio for her garden. I was wondering if it's safe enough for kids and enough to build a large patio, it should be good enough for anything I can think of. I'm willing to sacrifice performance and speed for affordability. One day I'm sure I'll be ready for an upgrade. This is a fantastic kit, I wouldn't mind paying extra for the grinder and jigsaw that is included. I bought that separately. I would also pay extra for a battery with more amp hours. There were enough batteries for every project and every tool didn't have to be charged mid-project, again I didn't have to make as many cuts but still wished for that peace of mind. My first 2 projects involved a pylo box. for my daughter and I and a vertical box that I will hang on the wall for my tools. Each project was completed in a few hours. The saw and bits that came with the tools did the job. I underestimated the benefits of an LED flashlight. I work outdoors and my projects have taken me into the evening and light has been surprisingly helpful. The safety button on a circular saw is a little fiddly, but once you get the hang of it it's very easy. Has my approval.
