Wire jacket on my 1999 BMW showed wire jacket rotted. The old case was falling apart, resulting in less protection for the individual colored wires inside. A black electric faucet is often the solution, but it gets sticky and sticky over time. This cloth tape is as you imagine it. It looks and feels like black clothing. It works like an electric faucet, but the result is more satisfying. I used this in the area between the gas tank and the Handel grille and headlight. Now it's a very clean and organized look. Just a couple of black zip ties to keep things in place without being restrictive. Hope that helps. The bike is a 1999 BMW R1150GS. This will work on any application that is experiencing the same problem with plastic/rubber rot on the wiring harness. Note: This is cloth tape, not waterproof. Therefore, only use it in dry places as indicated in the instructions.
