I have terrible eczema on my hands and bought these gloves to protect my hands and prevent the ointment from rubbing off. I also wear them in reusable nitrile gloves for dishwashing or other tasks involving harsh chemicals. Otherwise my impenetrable gloved hands sweat and itch. I usually apply pure lanolin to my hands before putting on gloves. Lanolin, unlike Vaseline-based ointments, is moisture permeable and doesn't rub off as easily. This lanolin and glove treatment can stop my nighttime hand scratches with a small amount of hydrocortisone. Hypoallergenic modified lanolin (Lansinoh) is available if your skin reacts to regular grade lanolin. The gloves are not that strong and tend to tear at the seam between the thumb and forefinger when putting them on. But they are so cheap that I don't mind. Much better than plastic gloves, which itch terribly and retain moisture. They come clean enough to wear out of the box (at least I don't see any reaction).
