If you have a mohawk on surprisingly cold winter nights (30°F to 40°F for Southern California?!? Yes, THAT'S COLD!) is a beanie necessary. What I like about it compared to the ones I've had is that it's light and fluffy rather than thick and/or tight. This gives me the ability to pin my hair the full length without pulling it around the perimeter. The yarn is thin and light, the inner lining is soft and breathable. It's just the right amount to keep my mohawk's sides warm without being too hot or too cozy.
