Fits easily in the GE model shown in the photo. Be careful of water being thrown out when you first activate the refrigerator to force water through the filter. There were no instructions so I followed the instructions on the original GE filter I had installed. Before use, run 1.5 gallons of water through the system. I was able to buy 3 of these for half the price of a GE filter. My system seemed oddly "pressurized" with these filters and the water flow wasn't smooth and even. When I took this filter out, it almost jumped out of its socket while the GE model slides in and out smoothly. Upon further investigation, I found that they were made in China and only tested to NSF/ANSI 42. The original GE model was tested to 42nd and 53rd NSF 42 for aesthetic contamination and taste/odor. NSF 53 is for actual pollutants with health effects. I returned this product and ordered a more expensive but more efficient GE filter. I cannot judge the state of health of my family.
