I don't usually write reviews but in this case I want to say how impressed I am with this ebony cutting board. Highly durable yet exquisite in craftsmanship and beauty. I plan to use it as a serving platter for presentations. West African ebony is extremely hard and seems to withstand a lot of wear and tear if cared for properly. The included care instructions are excellent. If you decide to purchase this board please read the instructions as you must immediately clean the board with soap and water before treating the board with mineral oil. Wash in the kitchen sink! The grain on both sides (marble on one side and mostly black on the other) is amazing. Others have already added their amazing photos. It can be expensive, but I think it's worth it and the purchase also supports a good cause. I can pick up more for a special occasion.
