I have another laser but bought this one because I was intrigued by the combination of options. Right out of the box I was impressed with how it was packaged and came with its own case that encased the laser and its accessories in foam for protection. After installing the batteries, it takes two seconds to turn on, settle and use this device. The green laser is visible outdoors, but in bright sunlight it may be necessary to use it with the included reflector. I'm in the process of remodeling my house and installing a kitchen, and I can't think of a single part of a job that this tool doesn't make a lot easier. The 360 degree laser line helps reposition the siding markers on the outside of my home and also provides a consistent reference line when installing my cabinets. I've been a contractor for 30 years and can't believe I've lived without a tool like this for so long. This is a quality tool at an extremely attractive price. There is absolutely no reason to choose any other device than this one. I have another layer but most likely I will use it for my future projects.
