Although the base plate for the DA grinder or polisher may seem like a simple item, this item shines in many areas. wrap it up and use it without hesitation. I've been using it at work several times a week for the past month or so, averaging an hour each time I use it. I ordered a second one for a different instrument because I'm happy with this first one. First, the panel is strong and will hold its shape. It has served me well as both sandpaper and paint buffing pads. The Velcro material is of very good quality and still sticks easily to the plate. That's more than I can say about some brands. In addition, it's a firm pillow, albeit a bit flexible. This is neither good nor bad: the type of grinding or polishing is preferred. Price. If this TCP Global plate is as strong as the plates for my rotary polisher which I have been using for over 18 months I would find it very good. Right now I see no reason to buy another one if I need it.
