I was a bit skeptical about this product as it is cheaper than some others. Let's start at the USB end and go back to the pen itself. The USB cable is USB 3.0 and the other end of the cable is Micro USB which connects to the device. It looks like some kind of braided nylon cable, it's not plastic so it glides very well on the table. The base of the handle is solid metal, not plastic. In the hands lies very well, black matt. From there the handle goes up. The only issue I had was that the handle doesn't line up perfectly with the base of the device, so it wobbles a bit when I rotate the handle. The use of the backlight is amazing, glowing a cool blue on the base. You can turn it off by holding the button for 8 seconds I think. When the light is on and you turn the knob, it will get brighter and then fade out and dimmer. I like it because it doesn't jump from light to dark again. Small sticky pads on the base ensure it won't rattle or slide off you. Very nice touch. I will definitely buy this product again in the future.
