It is better to use their toys made of twine or thin nesting rope.

My bird gets tangled in the fiber and doesn't break easily so don't worry about it getting tangled. I have to cut shorter pieces with scissors before putting them in the cage. She better uses her twine or thin rope toys for nesting.
