I bought several fingerless gloves for arthritis at the base of my thumbs. Nothing done. Also, I just didn't like wearing a glove, even without spikes. I saw these while looking for them and thought why not? Well I'm very glad I found/bought them. They have a small pad that puts a little pressure on the base of the thumb. My left thumb is affected, but only slightly. It's the thumb of my right hand, probably because I'm right-handed. I will order more soon. As they fit in either hand it's like getting 2 for the price of one as I only wear them on my right hand. Washable and not too tight which is great as I have large hands for a woman. Try them, you will love them if you have problems with your thumb joint.
