The right ear doesn't work. Wrong pair?

My son bought it but the right ear doesn't work. We wanted to exchange them but never did. So, honestly, we could just get a faulty pair and the replacement might work. But now the return date is past, and he's stuck on those over-the-air headphones that cost a lot for a 14-year-old and don't work. Spring. back hour.
