I'm tired of hair clips because you can't rest your head without them touching you and because I often have to cut my hair because it slips out. These side combs will keep your hair in place all day and you can flip your head back without banging your head! My hair is 1-2 inches below the top of my shoulders and is quite thick. Sometimes I use one, sometimes two depending on how I curl my hair. I didn't want to use the larger version of these side combs because they tend to stick out, but if you have very long or very thick hair, this is the route you should go. Unfortunately, the hair accessories end up lost - I think they run to join all the missing socks in a Nirvana land of the lost. When this happens, I'll order these without hesitation. Good thing they're so cheap, way cheaper than plastic bobby pins which don't work that well. I can recommend these hair combs with enthusiasm!
