Review on 💦 Corsair H100i Elite Capellix Liquid CPU Cooler with iCUE Technology by Curtis Nice

The cooler is easy to install and definitely does the job! Combined with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut thermal paste, my i7 dropped 10 degrees Celsius. I use it in a Phantex Enthoo ITX case and it's relatively quiet even up close. The cooler has a solid construction with a nice set of fins. The hoses appear to be securely attached. The LEDs are bright and clear. And these dear ML fans! A bit pricey for what you get given the competition. Almost everything is fine except. Six months later, one of the blue LEDs on the radiator failed. I've followed Corsair Support's troubleshooting instructions for various versions of iCue, including the latest (iCue itself is a bit confused) to no avail. The strangest step was reinstalling the radiator; I'm not sure how this is supposed to solve the LED problem. Initial participation was good, but now I've been waiting for a response to my RMA request for almost 2 weeks; It's like Corsair surprised me. Update (07/15/2021): About a day after my first review, Corsair is finally on the up again. They provided a toll label for the RMA and I sent them the AIO pump, heatsink and ML fans still attached; All the accessories and stuff stayed with me. About a week after they received the device, I received another retail device back, brand new in the box. This was quite unexpected as I was expecting a refurbishment. It took me almost a week to reinstall AIO. I'm fine now. All in all I'm getting back on and apart from the long pause in the middle I'm happy with the reaction once we got going again. We can only hope that the new block will not have a similar problem in 6 months.
