Review on Hilmor 1839108 TCC Thermocouple Clamp by Jason Melvin

Working great after 2 years of use. It lasts longer than all 3 field clamps that I broke at the pivot point, the Hilmore has less spring tension. It's thin so you can hook it up to the suction line without messing around with Rubatex. It has less plastic around the probe so it heats up faster than the field. Made of impact-resistant plastic in tool quality. I've unplugged the connector perpendicular to the pins several times and it still works and reads accurately. K-type pins have a curved design to tighten the connection, some counters may not like it. I used it in a Fieldpiece SMAN 360 digital distributor. Clamps from 1/4" to 1-1/8". Best of all, this is one of the cheapest temporary clamps on the market. 5th year of apprenticeship, technology for light commercial services.
