The base plate worked great initially but I have had it for about 6 months and have used it on 4 cars and 80% of the velcro pattern has broken in the middle of the plate as the plate rubbed it completely smooth. Last weekend he kept throwing pillows at me. I wouldn't recommend spending the extra $5 and buying a reputable brand baseplate, it's not worth the potential headache this thing can cause. F reached out to me and let me take a behind-the-scenes look at her changes. She did everything, she sent me 2 replacement base plates. I'm still on the first record with about 20 color corrections (a mix of 1 and 2 steps) and it still keeps the pads like new.
